Hi Andy,
As discussed, kindly find a reminder.
I observed that some SO even have two mentees nominated on COP funding with the Mentor being sponsored via other sources.
So, I was wondering, If Marilyn’s CROP application should just be approved, this can actually work for both.
Thank you.

Dear BC Outreach colleagues and BC Executive Committee
In the spirit of service, this is a request for partial funding for my attendance and participation at ICANN61, as a coach to Fellows; participation in the Onboarding Project; the CCWG on Auction Proceeds, and BC sessions during ICANN61.
The BC has been given funding support to one mentor and one mentee, but a second mentee is accepted, without ICANN funding. Marilyn Cade is the approved Mentor, and Arinola Akinyemi is the funded mentee. I am the second mentee, but ICANN requires that the second mentee be funded by the BC, or self funded.
I am also one of the BC's active participants in the CCWG Auction Proceeds, and this CCWG is planning engagement with the ICANN community on site during ICANN61. Participation in the CCWG Auction Proceeds meetings will be an key priority, as well as helping the two other BC participants to brief the BC membership.
Although I cannot fully fund ICANN61, I have been offered ICANN sponsorship for hotel, in return for acting as coach to African Fellows.
I hereby request airfare and support in the amount of $2,000.
The airfares from Nigeria are quite high, and the trip each way is over 30 hours long, and in some fares, has long layovers, in one case, 13 hours on the return flight, which would benefit from being able to book into an airport hotel, as it is very difficult to spend 13 hours at the airport.
I will self fund the daily expenses personally.
This funding will allow me to join the new Onboarding program, from its inception, as well as to act as coach to fellows from Africa, thus continuing to build the BC's credibility and engagement in the Fellowship Program. I take pride in seeing a Member of the BC good enough to coach new comers, it gives an opportunity to introduce quite a few into the BC.
I have taken note of the review that Omar and Marilyn did of the Fellowship Program and with my Coaching experience, I do agree that often the business nominees in the fellowship program are not qualified to become BC members; however, I think that we should take advantage of the coaching role in the Fellowship Program, so that we build positive relationships with the new fellows, and help them to better understand who the BC is, and its overall contribution to ICANN, as well as actively seek the recruitment, if eligible, of those who identify as business.
Thank you very sincerely,
TS
