Dear all, Many thanks for the feedback and important additions and thoughts. Holly, thank you for the approving-) Hadia, thank you for the additions, I absolutely agree and will change the descriptive introductory part *As you know, the DNS resolver responds to a user request to translate a domain name into an IP address. DNS queries and responses are sent in plain-text, to enhance users’ privacy and security, protocols like DNS over TLS (DoT) and DNS over HTTPS (DoH) that provide encryption to DNS traffic are used.* Alberto, I really think it would be the best way to use a phrase that has both the end user's problem and the solution "two safe ways to surf the Internet". I guess we may use it in the post directly text part with an invitation to the webinar. Alfredo, I can't say better: we really can/should use more vibrant ways to draw attention to our webinars. The classic way of presenting information is good for existing followers. More vivid and provocative content is the rule for posting information in social networks (and we work there), especially if we are talking about a new audience and young people. And we know that people love to save and to share more interesting pics. The rules of SoMe. If I have a choice, I would prefer a red promo.-) And BTW in the format of Facebook publications 2 or more pictures is welcomed (description+bio separately). And using the example of a promo card with a biography of Holly, I wanted to show you how we can design all the promo cards with our leaders in the one style (this or any other), which we may need at any time and can be used (for example, for promo ICANN69 sessions or IGF sessions). For the upcoming autumn we need to gather all photos and short bio for our promo cards. Sincerely, Natalia вт, 25 авг. 2020 г. в 17:11, John More via Cbwg-webinars < cbwg-webinars@icann.org>:
I like Alberto’s addition. #4 is good.

I was not encouraged to comment on what I said at the meeting. But as it is still open to comments I will repeat it. As is the text, it is valid for all those who have knowledge (major or minor) on the subject. But for those who don't have a clue, maybe a little phrase; "two safe ways to surf the Internet" would call to participate those who have no knowledge of the acronym. Particularly for those young people who will meet him through social networks.
Best

Dear Natalia,
This is a great job well done, no. 4 is okay with me.

Dear Colleagues:
I actually agree with Holly. The whole purpose of the Webinar is to bring these concepts down to earth. The visual aid helps give the audience an idea I also agree with Hadia that it might be adequate to be as accurate as possible on the objectives of the Webinar. Holly is already well known in the community and some of her bio info can be part of the pre-slides before the beginning of the recording or even as a very short intro.
Great job, Natalia.

Dear Natalia,
Thank you for the fantastic work. I also prefer the fourth attachment, because I think it is easier to comprehend.
As for the description, I think we need to clarify that the users data we are talking about are the domain name queries and responses. The DNS does not provide encryption but does provided extensions like the DNSSEC that would prevent man in the middle attacks, also we need to remember that users queries in all cases are not private to the resolver. I would suggest something along the below lines
As you know, the DNS resolver responds to a user request to translate a domain name into an IP address. DNS queries and responses are sent in plain-text, to enhance users’ privacy and security, protocols like DNS over TLS (DoT) and DNS over HTTPS (DoH) that provide encryption to DNS traffic are used.
Kind regards
Hadia

Dear team,
I`m sending you 3 promo samples for the next webinar for the choosing and approving: 1-usual to us (2 parts -description of the webinar and short bio of Holly). 2-description of the webinar and biography of Holly on 1 card, usual design. 3-vivid and my preferred!-) (as we discussed, we can use street art from all over the world for decoration, which supports the idea of our community representing all countries of the world) . Also 2 parts (description + universal biography of Holly which can be used separately somewhere)
I added and used (as suggested by Alberto) a short non-technical description of the webinar. Please review it and approve/correct / reject it.
Waiting for your choice!
Sincerely, Natalia _______________________________________________ Cbwg-webinars mailing list Cbwg-webinars@icann.org<mailto:Cbwg-webinars@icann.org> https://mm.icann.org/mailman/listinfo/cbwg-webinars
