Hi Katrina, I will be happy to moderate that part of the workshop. Noted!
Are there minutes of the workshop we had earlier this year, I could not find them. We do minutes only for Council meetings (f2f and calls). I noted some fears (actually, it was meant as an ice-breaking exercise) - one "fear" that was mentioned by several Councillors was "not enough people participate". As you can see, I already proposed it as a topic. Another one, discussions are dominated by Europeans, I tried to address in Marrakech but we could talk about it during the same slot when we talk about participation. Some of the fears, however, are hard (if not impossible) to address. For example, "I am afraid I will not have enough time to contribute to the work of the Council". I have no idea how we could help with that. What we could do - we can go through the fears people mentioned in Kobe and discuss if there are any changes. Kind regards, ]{atrina

Unfortunately, we could not make it in Marrakech but we will definitely do that in Montreal. Currently, we have booked three 90 minute blocks on Sunday (starting at 9 am). Two blocks for the workshop and one block for our prep-meeting. However, booking slots is the easiest part. We need to fill them up with meaningful, useful, and interesting activities. If we can't think of enough of such kind of activities, we can always go for one block of workshop instead of two (we will have a prep-meeting in any case). If we have interesting ideas, we will need to plan and prepare them to make the most out of our team efforts. To make a long story short, now is the time to propose ideas for our workshop in Montreal! To kick start the brainstorming: - How to help new people to get engaged? Here I'd like to point to what I think is a great suggestion. A month ago Eberhard shared an idea on the mailing list "...to find someone who has not been involved in ccNSO activities, preferably under the age of 30 to serve as an observer..." - this (these) person(s) could observe activities on different groups, e.g. IFR, other review teams, our members on CCWGs, and help our members by writing reports to the Council, members, and ccTLD community. - ccNSO review recommendations. If the Board adopts the recommendations by the meeting in Montreal, we could look into those and discuss how to proceed. - ccNSO website. What information we need, how to structure it, etc. - How to (re)shape our interaction with other SOACs? - any ideas for a hands-on session? The ball is yours! Please share your ideas!
