Dear all, On Wednesday 15 March 2017 the topic of the first session ( 9.00-9.30 am) at the ccNSO meeting day will be Acountability Frameworks and Exchange of Letters between ccTLD maangers and ICANN. Focus of the upcoming session is an asessment whether the Accountability Frameworks and Exchange of Letters are impacted by the IANA Stewardship Transition, and if so, on discuss a roadmap for next steps. To make this session as interesting and worthwhile as possible, in particular for those ccTLDs who have enterd into an Accountability Framewrok or Excahnge of Letters with ICANN, the presenters suggest that in preparation of the session you look at the following documents: Current Model document ccTLD manager to ICANN Exchange of Letters: https://www.icann.org/en/resources/cctlds/cctld-to-icann-exchange-of-letters... Current Model document ICANN to ccTLD Exchange of Letter https://www.icann.org/en/resources/cctlds/icann-to-cctld-exchange-of-letters... For Accountability Frameworks: https://www.icann.org/en/cctlds/accountability-framework-template-18jan08.pd... Please note that these documents are also avaialble in the French (see: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/model-mous-2012-02-25-en) In addition you are advised to look at the ccNSO Guidelines for ccTLD Managers Accountability Framework discussions with ICANN ( https://ccnso.icann.org/announcements/files/af-guidelines-14dec05.pdf ) Background In December 2005 the ccNSO adopted the Guidelines for ccTLD Managers Accountability Framework discussions with ICANN. This guideline was developed to assist ccTLD managers and ICANN in their discussions of an Accountability Framework or Exchange of Letters. Based on these Guidelines templates for the Exccahnge of Letters and Accoutnability Framework where developed, which are the startign point of the conversation. To date 70 ccTLD managers have entered into an Accountability Framework or Excahnge of Letters (https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/cctlds/cctlds-en), and some ccTLDs have indicated they want to enter into one. As part of the IANA Stewardship Transition discussion the question was rasied at several occasion whether the IANA Stewardship Transition would have an impact on the Accountability Framework and Excahnge of Letters. At the Hyderabad meeting it was agreed to dedicate a session on this topic at this meeting in Copenhagen. On behalf of the presenters, kind regards, Bart Boswinkel
