Please find attached the Guideline: ccNSO Meetings recently reviewed by the Meetings Programme Committee (MPC). MPC made some changes to the Guideline to ensure that it reflects the current virtual nature of ccNSO meetings. We would like to ask the ccNSO Council to approve the changes. However, the GRC would like to draw your attention to some of the identified issues regarding the current version of the Guideline: - It does not define the purpose of ccNSO Members Meetings. As the purpose or other qualitative attributes are not specified, it is impossible to establish whether meetings have been successful or not. - It does not define what constitutes ccNSO Members Meetings. For example, during our face-to-face meetings ccTLD News sessions have always been part of ccNSO Members Meeting days. Now, these sessions are organised outside the official ICANN week. Does it mean that ccTLD News is no longer part of our meetings? - The Guideline does not reflect “the big picture.” For example, ccNSO Members Meetings are a vital part of ccNSO outreach and involvement activities; however, the Guideline does not reflect the most recent changes in how ccNSO organises and oversees these types of activities (i.e. OISC). - The Guideline does not include other activities currently taking place under the auspices of the ccNSO, e.g. Tech Day, webinars, participation in ICANN meeting planning. The GRC would welcome ccNSO Council’s advice on how to proceed with the Guideline. On behalf of the GRC, ]{atrina
