Dear all, Chris, thanks for raising this. Our team at .au is involved and supportive. We called for a NETMundial style event earlier in 2023 because we saw a need for a proper multi-stakeholder forum to chart a future for internet governance, in the face of all the UN processes where stakeholders don’t have a role in the decisions that will be made. NETmundial represented an effective method to do this, as proved by the 2014 event. It was able to incorporate diverse views into a coherent statement and roadmap. Our hope is the same can eventuate from this year’s event and we are impressed that CGI.br has the appetite and ability to host the event. I’d urge other ccTLDs to take a look and get involved, if it is important to them to make sure we keep our ability to make decisions about the future of the internet.
