Following the Guideline: ccNSO Actions Respecting the Root Zone Evaluation Review Committee (https://ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/ccnso-rzerc-guideline-01sep16-en.pdf ), you are requested to adopt the proposed timeline and launch the RZERC Selection process. If there are no objections by a Councillor by 12 July 2019, the secretariat will launch the call on 15 July 2019, Kind regards, Bart For adoption: Timeline RZERC selection process The term of current ccNSO appointee on RZERC ( Peter Koch, DNIC, .de) ends on 1 October 2019, however he is not term limited yet. In order to meet the requirement under the Guideline: ccNSO Actions Respecting the Root Zone Evaluation Review Committee (https://ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/ccnso-rzerc-guideline-01sep16-en.pdf ) Council asked the secretariat to propose a timeline. The suggested timeline assumes that the ccNSO member should be appointed by 1 October 2019, preferably earlier. Note that the current member is not term limited yet. Highlights: Only Councillor who did NOT volunteer are eligible to select a candidate and will receive the relevant information The selection criteria are listed in section 5.2.1 of the Guideline. If 2 or more persons show interest, the Councillors are requested to list the candidates in order of preference. The most preferred candidates will receive most points ( 4 points if there are four candidates, 3 if only three candidates) If a candidate is considered not suited then he or she should not be included ( receives no points) The most preferred candidate (he or she who receives most points) is considered to be selected.
