Two quick reminders about some topics foressen in the agenda that I'm supposed to be involved with : 1/ Since DNSSEC is forseen to be under discussion, I see reference on the "ccNSO survey on DNSsec" in the "Briefing" on DNSSEC. - As additional information, may I remind the DNSSEC report provided in Paris, here : https://par.icann.org/files/paris/guillard-ianawg-dnssec_24Jun08.pdf - As well as the url on the ccnso dnssec paper : http://ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/ccnso-iana-wg-dnssec-paper-04feb08.pdf 2/ Quick reminder/status about RZM testing : - IANA set up a test plateform for TLD to test the new proposed IANA software, see call for participant in San Juan : http://sanjuan2007.icann.org/files/sanjuan/kjd-sanjuan-ccnsoupd-070627.pdf See in slides 13 and 14: * "We will ask testers to run requests in parallel with system and our existing process" * "We will seek approvals for deployment" - IANA WG launched a testing initiative to support IANA in testing the new proposed software : http://ianawg.ccnso.org/docs/20080407-ccNSO-IANA-RZM-Tests.pdf And also set up a client testing plateform (including "fake dns" and exchange of test DNS secondaries since it was not possible to pass technical checks of the IANA plateform without setting this up, see below) - IANA announced the cessation of public testing just before ICANN Paris (see below) - IANA WG report about the testing that was provided in Paris is here : https://par.icann.org/files/paris/guillard-ianawg-eiana_24Jun08.pdf Although we haven't had much opportunities to discuss with Kim those last weeks, he will participate to the Council call and has obviously all my confidence to provide an update about those topics to the Council.
