Dear Colleagues, Here is a statement on the status of SSR2 review by SOAC Chairs. As you know, according to the Bylaws, the Board initiates reviews and SOAC Chairs are the ones who appoint review team members but it is not clear what role the Board and SOAC Chairs play (if any) if something goes wrong. We are sailing uncharted waters here and the chairs tried to do their best to address the issue but it is difficult to carry out proper consultations with the community in such a short period (and when the house is on fire). Apparently we will have to discuss the proper and most efficient ways of dealing with situations like this within the Council and with the community.
