Hi Bart, Thanks for the heads-up. Yes, it is clear that (at least) part of those guidelines need to be reviewed. The current guidelines have lead to unpredictable outcomes. I suggest that not only IDN ccTLD registries are involved but also those cc's that have shown an interest or have actively contributed in the past (and as we know, not all ended up running an IDN ccTLD). In this process it is important that experiences with the existing procedures are assessed and documented. I would also recommend that we see a timeframe for this review as soon as possible. Based on follow up discussions, during the ICANN 51 meeting the BV-WG directed the staff to reach out to the GNSO and ccNSO to collect an initial list of issues which should be addressed if this update is undertaken.
