As I said in my previous email, nothing is as straightforward as it seems. I have spoken to many parties and must say that the view are diverse. My first question would be if the letter had been discussed by the team. I am afraid it was not the case. I also would like to object to the use the words “the SSR2 presenter”. Please note that this is one of our own community members we have appointed to the SSR2. He works really hard to ensure that the SSR2 delivers as promised. He is not just a faceless representative of some review team. I wish to state for the record that I had no prior knowledge of this letter from the SSR2 leadership. My question was based solely on the result of my research. I submit that this current state of affairs is the direct result of MSSI’s actions with both the hiring process used to bring on the technical writer, and MSSI’s subsequent sacking of the technical writer. The recordings of the calls between SSR2 leadership and MSSI are really distressing listening. I’ve never heard a more demoralized group of community volunteers in my life. To get the full-flavour of the breakdown in trust between MSSI and the SSR2 team, I refer you to the first 10 minutes of the first leadership call with MSSI subsequent to MSSI’s sacking of their technical writer. The mp3 recording may be found here: https://audio.icann.org/mssi/ssr2-leadership-03jun19-en.mp3 It’s a depressing state of affairs… Best Regards, /Stephen From: Ccnso-council <ccnso-council-bounces@icann.org> on behalf of Katrina Sataki <katrina@nic.lv> Date: Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 14:44 To: Jordan Carter <jordan@internetnz.net.nz> Cc: "ccnso-council@icann.org" <ccnso-council@icann.org> Subject: Re: [ccnso-council] FW: [soac-chairs] Letter from SSR2 Leadership Honestly, I have even difficulties understanding what is the issue, as I keep receiving extremely diverse views on the current state of affairs. But the question you ask, is a spot on – is there anything we can do? I wish I knew the answer. ]{atrina From: Jordan Carter <jordan@internetnz.net.nz> Date: Wednesday, 26 June 2019 at 16:34 To: Katrina Sataki <katrina@nic.lv> Cc: <ccnso-council@icann.org> Subject: Re: [ccnso-council] FW: [soac-chairs] Letter from SSR2 Leadership Wow, Katrina, I am genuinely shocked about this letter.
