Update Working Groups Joint ccNSO-GNSO IDN WG (JIG) The chair of the GNSo has been informed of the adoption of the suggested joint note to the ICANN Board of directors. The WG has not met since the Durban meeting. Next call will be 15 October. The WG will finalize the Final Report on Unoversal Acceptnace of IDN TLD's which will be submitted to both the ccNSO and GNSO Councils for discussion and decision. Contact Repository Implementation Working Group ( CRI) The CRI is preparing a note for the community whether the Security Incident contact repository as identified is still needed by the community, in particular if the use cases identified are still relevant. Secondly the WG wants to understand whether the the ccTLD community intends to subscribe to the service, if properly defined, taking in account the potential costs of a subscription etc. The WG is of the opinion it only makes sense to put in more effort, if enough members of the community will subscribe. Joint DNS Stability and Security Analysis Working Group The DSSA Wg is currently discussing a letter for the co-chairs to the participating SO's and AC"s. If adopted the ccNSO, and in particular the ccNSO Council will be presented two options: 1. Accept the Report of the DSSA as its Final Report. This will close the WG and the Final Report will be disseminated among the interested parties. 2. If all participating SO's and AC's agree, continue as a cross-community WG, however in this case the charter needs to be amended and a new call for volunteers is needed who have expertise to work on a thorough analysis, using the proposed methodology. The DSSA leadership strongly recommends the first option. Study Group on use of country and territory names as TLD's Included as separate agenda item ( item 4).
