If you are interested to become a member of the drafting team you are kindly requested to submit your applications by Wednesday 14 December 2016, 12:00 (noon) UTC to the ccNSO Secretariat (ccnsosecretariat@icann.org<mailto:ccnsosecretariat@icann.org> ) The drafting team(s) will potentially convene by telephone call once every two-weeks. The time commitment is expected to be 2 to 4 hours per meeting (call, reading etc.). The first call is expected to take place in the second week of January 2017. Purpose of Drafting (sub)Team(s) As part of preparing his Issue Report, the Issue Manager for the ccNSO policy Development Processes suggested the ccNSO Council to establish drafting (sub) teams, which will develop the charters for the following working groups under the PDP(s): * Develop the review mechanism of decision pertaining to the delegation, transfer, revocation and retirement of ccTLDs and * Develop recommendations for a policy on the retirement of ccTLDs. The charters should include an overview, description and scope of the issues that need to be addressed through the PDP, and in addition propose working methods and other relevant procedural aspects. The Issue manager has already prepared a first scan of the issues, which was presented at the Hyderabad meeting. In developing the charters, the drafting teams are expected to take into account the documentation suggested below. The draft charters will be included in the Issue Report, which should be available for consideration by the Council at its meeting in Copenhagen (ICANN 58). Membership Participation in the drafting (sub) teams is open to persons related to ccTLDs, independent of membership of the ccNSO. In addition, some experts will be invited by the Issue manager.
