The Secretary General of UN has renewed the mandate of the IGF Advisory Group for a further 12 months. As with last year, the secretariat has requested current members to seek support to continue from those that they represent or nominate a new person to commence on the AG in May.
So, I?d appreciate it if members could let me know whether you wish me to continue to represent the ccTLD community on the IGF Advisory Group.
I am very happy to support your continued service on the IGF Advisory Group. I am well aware of the level of time and commitment that this entails and appreciate your willingness to continue to act in this capacity.
I suggest that it might be helpful for the ccNSO to spend some time updating members re the IGF at our meeting in Mexico. For example, we could discuss how ccNSO members can best co-ordinate our activities to maximise their effectiveness - I think that the next 12 months will be crucial for the IGF as its mandate and performance is reviewed.
Kind regards,
Lesley
