Dotty evacuated from her house on the south side of St. Thomas to friends on the north side of the island. The eyewall passed within 10-15 miles to the north of St. Thomas with 300km sustained winds. I had brief telephone contact with Dotty’s PA overnight, who rode the storm out in her house in downtown St. Thomas, and to put it mildly, it’s a mess.
