Eberhard, As mentioned, this is a very basic tool and we expect to improve it and add more elaborate features to it over time. Then we can consider your suggestion as well. I have discussed options of improving the data that we have extracted from the main registration site up until noe many times, but there didn't seem to be any good solution and that's the reason for why we opted for this tool. However, registrations are voluntary and if people don't want to register twice, they should only go for the main ICANN registration site. But I agree - ideally there should only be one registration necessary and I hope to reach that goal at some point. In the meantime, we're offering what we think is the second best solution. I should be quite easy to add a pull down or a radio button like on the main registration system and then use that flag to trigger publication.
In any case I would think that "having" to register twice will also not be very efficient, and would prefer to either fix the main Registration site (from where the badge is generated), or if that is too much of a nuisance, have this tool collect all the data required for the main site and then do the registration as well.
