Dear Colleagues, Thanks a lot to Alejandra, Giovanni, Nick, Pablo and, especially, Katrina for volunteering to host a table and entertain our community members and guests who would end up at their table during the upcoming ccNSO Cocktail. I know that Pablo has already developed an excellent idea for his room. I have certain plans regarding my table too. I am sure that Alejandra, Giovanni and Nick will come up with something special for their tables 😉 It is hard to predict the number of participants. Usually, ccNSO cocktails attract 120-180 guests. Technically, anyone can join to see familiar (and not so familiar) faces at least on the screen. On the other hand, virtual cocktail might not be as appealing as a traditional one. In any case, it would be good to have up to 5 tables more. It means, we need 5 more volunteers from you, guys! So? Anyone? Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Dear Councillors, As you have probably already seen, I just sent out an invitation to the community to invite them for ccNSO Cocktail! Shortly, I will send it also to our friends from other SO/ACs and ICANN Org. I asked everyone to send a couple of pictures from different ccNSO cocktails and good wishes to other ccTLDs. The idea is to make a slideshow to remember the times when hugging, kissing and drinking from the same glass was not considered a virus sharing activity. To make the event more entertaining, we got an idea to build on our experience with breakout rooms. Only now we’re going call them “tables”. Normally, during social events, you can move from one group of people to another or from one table to another to chat with different people, i.e. to socialise! Technically, Zoom allows us to have up to 80 “tables” but we believe 10-15 will do. In addition, the idea is to have a host – a Councillor – for each table. The host welcomes whomever joins the table and either drives the conversation (preferred option) or just follows the group. Others (the non-hosts) will be assigned to a “table” automatically. We want to change the tables 3 or 4 times. It is possible that one person joins the same table more than once, but that happens in other meetings as well. The host can use any background to set up the “tone” of their table. I think this set-up is a very good way to help community members to meet their Councillors in an informal atmosphere. What do you think? Who would like to volunteer to host a table? Please, don’t be shy! :) Kind regards, ]{atrina _______________________________________________ Ccnso-council mailing list Ccnso-council@icann.org https://mm.icann.org/mailman/listinfo/ccnso-council _______________________________________________ By submitting your personal data, you consent to the processing of your personal data for purposes of subscribing to this mailing list accordance with the ICANN Privacy Policy (https://www.icann.org/privacy/policy) and the website Terms of Service (https://www.icann.org/privacy/tos).
