Dear ccNSO Members, Last week, two calls for Nominations/Secondments were launched. This e-mail is as a reminder that nominations are due on 18 and 20 October respectively. Please find a comprehensive overview here (https://ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/nominations-secondments-05oct16-en.pdf ), including - but not limited to - instructions on where and how to send nominations and secondments, verify who has been nominated, and find out who can be nominated. 1. regular and special ccNSO council elections START: Thursday, 29 September 2015, 00.00 UTC END: Thursday, 20 October 2015, 23.59 UTC In March 2017, at ICANN58 in Copenhagen (11 and 16 March 2017), the 3-year term of 5 ccNSO Councillors, one from each region, ends. Africa: Souleymane Oumtanaga | Asia-Pacific: Hirofumi Hotta | Europe: Nigel Roberts | Latin America/Caribbean: Alejandra Reynoso | North America: Stephen Deerhake. Mr. Vika Mpisane has stepped down from the ccNSO Council in July 2016. Therefore, and to fill this vacancy, the members in the African Region will need to elect two candidates: one for the regular council election, and one for the special council election. The person elected for the special council election will take the seat on the council immediately after being elected, and until March 2018. ICANN Board Seat 11 START: Tuesday, 27 September 2016, 00.00 UTC END: Tuesday, 18 October 2016, 23.59 UTC Chris Disspain’s second term on the ICANN Board Seat 11 will expire at the ICANN Annual General Meeting 2017. According to the Bylaws (current and new) an ICANN Board member is eligible to serve three (3) terms. The ccNSO is now opening a call for nominations to fill ICANN Board seat number 11.
