I would like to direct your attention to the last section (2.) "Tech Wg Meeting"
With regards to the translation services, which are provided by default (being in the ccNSO room). Our observation was that almost nobody used the headsets, so it might be a cost saving proposal to just not engage the translators for TechDay.
We would also like a bit more flexibility with regards to session lengths and break duration.

Dear Eberhard The ccNSO Council, during its December and January meetings, discussed the topics raised in the last Tech Day report regarding flexibility of sessions lengths and the continuation of interpretation at Tech Day sessions. Although we appreciate and understand the request for flexibility regarding the length of sessions and breaks, this is unfortunately beyond our control. As you know, the overall ICANN meeting follows a unified schedule that applies equally to all the communities, and we are therefore unable to adjust at the SO/AC group level. With respect to the continuity of interpretation at Tech Day sessions, the Council noted that while English is the primary language for technical matters, it cannot be assumed that all participants are equally fluent. The availability of interpretation plays an important role in promoting inclusiveness by enabling participants from diverse linguistic backgrounds to engage fully in discussions, follow complex technical exchanges, and contribute meaningfully on an equal footing. This, in turn, supports broader participation and helps ensure that a wide range of expertise and perspectives is represented. In addition, the sessions are recorded in the available languages, which provides an accessible and lasting resource for reference and posterity. In light of these considerations, the Council believes that interpretation for Tech Day sessions should be maintained.
