For Adoption: Terms of Reference DASC 31 March 2022-23.59 UTC
Dear all, Please find included the updated version of the Terms of Reference for the ccNSO DNS Abuse Standing Committee (DASC) for adoption by Council. If you have any comment or questions please reply to thsio email as members of the ad-hoc group who are not on Council are included in the cc. Please respond to this email by Thursday 31 March 23.59 UTC, whether you support, object or abstain to adoption of the Terms of Reference.. Changes 1. As you will recall some concerns were raised during the DNS Abuse session on the scope of the mandate of the committee: Would the DASC be able to represent and/or speak on behalf of ccTLDs or the ccNSO? Could the DASC Participate in other groups as representative of the ccTLD community or ccNSO? As you may recall this was never the intention, therefore section 1 now includes a limitation on the scope of the mandate of the committee. In undertaking its activities, the Committee is not mandated nor shall it act as a representative of nor act on behalf of the ccNSO, ccNSO Membership, ccNSO Council or individual ccTLD Managers collectively or individually. 1. Within limits of its mandate the DASC may now invite liaisons and observers and upon invitation appoint liaisons and observers (see section 3) Kind regards, Bart

Dear all, I support Just one minor question for my curiosity: I have noticed that some committees have Terms of Reference while the others have Charter. Is there any specific reason why? Dear Councillors. The comment period regarding the updated Terms of Reference for the DNS Abuse Standing Committee (DASC) is now closed. The DASC ToR<https://ccnso.icann.org/en/about/ccnso-draft-dasc-25mar22-en.pdf> are now considered to be adopted by Council. Consequently, a call for volunteers to create the DASC needs to be sent out. The secretariat suggests doing so on Wednesday, 6 April. If you have any objections or concerns, please respond to this thread by Tuesday, 5 April, 23:59 UTC. Thank you.
