Council members, To facilitate broad-based dialogue on the IANA transition, I have had an online forum developed for discussing issues of particular interest to the ccTLD community. I believe this forum will ensure inclusivity of all ccTLDs – not just ccNSO members – in the consultation for the IANA transition process. The forum can be accessed here: http://ianatransitiondiscussion.org/. Topics for discussion can be posted by all users, and documents can be posted to the forum for review and comment. To ensure the discussions are limited to the ccTLD community, commenters’ initial posts will be moderated. Subsequent comments will be posted without moderation. A CIRA employee will moderate the forum until an external individual is identified to take that role on. We will be announcing the forum with a media release (with limited distribution) and a post on my blog (cirablog.ca), as well as an email to the global ccTLD list this coming week.
