All, Do we have any news from our friends in Puerto Rico? Cheers, Chris
Hi Chris, I talked to both Dotty and Pablo as the storm began to bear down on them (Dotty about 4-5 hours before I reached Pablo). Both were confident that they had adequate shelter to ride it out. The eyewall passed about 100-120km south of Dotty, but it looked from the imagery I was watching overnight that the eyewall went right over Pablo’s head. I have yet to be able to contact either. PR’s electrical grid is essentially destroyed, so I assume there are probably very few mobile phone towers left standing on the Island. /Stephen On 9/21/17, 09:09, "ccnso-members-bounces@icann.org on behalf of Chris Disspain" <ccnso-members-bounces@icann.org on behalf of chris@disspain.uk> wrote: All, Do we have any news from our friends in Puerto Rico? Greetings, I just got a phone call from Pablo. He and his family are OK. He is making his way back to San Juan. The scene he described to me is one of almost complete destruction of trees, powerlines, power poles, and cell phone towers (he pulled over under one that was still standing to make the call, which is the new normal now). No further word on Dotty as of this time… /Stephen On 9/21/17, 09:09, "ccnso-members-bounces@icann.org on behalf of Chris Disspain" <ccnso-members-bounces@icann.org on behalf of chris@disspain.uk> wrote: All, Do we have any news from our friends in Puerto Rico?
