Dear Councillors, During the last Council call, Ondrej pointed out that the Tech WG had written a paper on DNSSEC, which wasn't mentioned in the DNSSEC briefing paper. This resulted in following action: Action 33-05: Ondrej Filip to forward the Tech Working Group DNSSEC paper to the ccNSO Secretariat. Please, find this paper attached FYI. Gabi
Hi Gabi,
During the last Council call, Ondrej pointed out that the Tech WG had written a paper on DNSSEC, which wasn't mentioned in the DNSSEC briefing paper.
Are you sure that Ondrej pointed this like this ? The paper you are forwarding is not mentioned in the DNSSEC briefing paper because it was not communicated outside of the tech group until now (despite multiple demands formulated within the tech group as well as proposals to mutualize efforts with IANA WG on this BTW) : Difficult to mention in a public document a paper which is not public. For those interested by the reality of issues raised by DNSSEC, signing the root and the level where it's played, the pointer is here : http://www.ntia.doc.gov/DNS/DNSSEC.html le jeudi 09 octobre à 03 H 46 , Gabriella Schittek a ecrit :

Hello Olivier, Yes, Ondrej pointed out during the last Council call that the TechWG had written a paper on DNSSEC, which wasn't mentioned in the DNSSEC briefing paper which I prepared for the ccNSO Council call. He did, however, also mention that he was not sure whether it had been communicated to the council (see the minutes from last call: http://www.ccnso.icann.org/workinggroups/minutes-council-call-16sep08.pdf, under "Tech WG Update", page 5). Therefore, the Council took the action to ask Ondrej to forward the document. Why the paper wasn't made public initially is something you should ask the Tech WG chair, I guess.
