Apologies for the entire Council Meeting on Dec 7th
Dear Katrina This is to let Council know well in advance I shall not be in attendance for the Council meeting scheduled for 7th December, and accordingly I hereby send my apologies for the whole meeting. Serendipitiously, my non-attendance will permit the entire meeting to be held according to standard ccNSO rules and procedures (since due to my absence from the meeting Bylaw 7.4(b) will now not need to be taken into consideration for any agenda item). In addition, I shall prepare a short written report of the PDP WG of which I am Chair, which I will probably ask Stephen to deliver, since he is also a Member of that group. Kind regards Nigel
Dear Nigel, Thank you, noted!

Serendipitously or not, this is nothing to worry about at the moment. According to Bylaws 10.3.(i) it is the ccNSO Council that nominates individuals to fill seats on the Board, not Facebook. And since the ccNSO Council hasn't done that yet, nothing can stop you from participating at Council meetings.
In addition, I shall prepare a short written report of the PDP WG of which I am Chair, which I will probably ask Stephen to deliver, since he is also a Member of that group.
Thank you! Kind regards, ]{atrina
Katrina I think you misunderstand slightly, but that's nothing to worry about either. I will not be attending the Council meeting, There are several personal reasons for my being unable to attend this meeting, which I really don't need to go into. Therefore I send my apologies for this meeting. As said, it's simply a 'fortunate coincidence' that as a result, this now means that you won't need to hold any part of the meeting as any kind of "special meeting" as the agenda states. The primary reason for my non-attendance has nothing to do with any matters that are, or might be on the agenda. They are personal matters. I simply thought it would be helpful to all to let you know sooner rather than later, for your convenience. given that it seems to me that references to the 'special agenda' (to which I have not been made privy) can only relate to matters to which 7.4(b) applies. Kind regards Nigel (PS: As far as "Facebook" is concerned, I merely note that Michele congratulatory post appeared there after the results of the members' election were posted publicly by ICANN.)
