I found the day very interesting for the following reasons: - The trainer, David Plumb, is a great teacher, attentive to the group, and thoroughly knowledgeable about his subject. He is able to respond to questions by providing concrete examples. - The training materials are quite comprehensive: they cover all the essential points. Participants leave with resources to explore further if they wish. - The day’s schedule is well-structured: it includes both learning sessions and many practical, scenario-based exercises. The group was quite diverse, allowing for discussions on a wide range of situations based on the members of each group. The discussions were therefore rich and covered many different scenarios. Of course, some people are more comfortable with simulation exercises than others. Surprisingly, those for whom English is not a native language were more willing to participate in the role-playing exercises. For my part, even though I’ve been taking this type of training for years, it was a real opportunity to better understand how things work in other working groups. In summary, I recommend this training to others. There you go—I hope this feedback is helpful to you. Have a great end of ICANN 86, safe travels back home, and see you soon—hopefully in Bali! Dear Alejandra, With ICANN86 coming up soon we are finalizing the planning for our session “RrSG Registration Data Game Show <https://icann86.sched.com/event/2NQN0/gnso-rrsg-registration-data-game-show>” and we are inviting all the ICANN Community groups to participate! Game info: Most of the session is a game played by all attendees (in person and on Zoom) via Slido, where participants will show off their knowledge of ICANN contract and policy requirements relating to registration data. Winners do get a small prize! Near the end of the game we will hold a special round where only the designated Champion from each ICANN Community Group may answer the question. They’ll also have the opportunity to phone a friend, just like on TV! What we’re asking you for: If the ccNSO is interested please nominate a Champion, and (also optionally) ensure someone else from your group is available in the room to take any “phone a friend” calls. As the name suggests, the Champion should ideally be someone from your group who is knowledgeable on registration data requirements. Please let us know by 29 May if you will have a Champion. ccNSO Fellowship Mentor update

Dear Siranush I hope this message finds you well. Jenifer has informed the ccNSO Council that this will be her final term as a Mentor for the Fellowship Program. We anticipate that Everton Rodrigues will be her successor. To ensure a smooth transition and continuity, Everton will start to accompany Jennifer as off the upcoming ICANN meeting in Seville in all Mentor-related activities. Going forward, please include Everton in all related communications. During the most recent Fellowship Mentor appointment process, we noted that the ccNSO has not developed a formal selection procedure. As discussed previously, we believe the role would ideally be held by a Council member, someone familiar with both the ccNSO’s internal processes and the ongoing work across the other SOs and ACs. Additionally, it would be highly valuable for a Mentor to be a Fellowship alumni. With this in mind, we would greatly appreciate it if you could be so kind as to share a list of the key qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge you consider important for a Fellowship Mentor? Your willingness to contribute your time and expertise is sincerely appreciated and reflects the strength of our community. I appreciate the timely initiative to coordinate and streamline your contributions, particularly to share the ccNSO perspective. In this context, I would like to let you know that Paul McGrady, the preliminary Chair of the Working Group, has approached me requesting early written input from the ccNSO. In my response to Paul, I will refer to the ccNSO Council Resolution <https://www.icann.org/en/ccnso/council/resolutions> 225-01, which states that “*[...] the ccNSO does not have a view, nor holds a position on the matter addressed through the PDP, nor do the members represent a view or position of ccTLDs in general.*” Circling back to the coordination and streamlining of contributions from a ccNSO perspective, I suggest clarifying from the start that neither the ccNSO Council nor the ccNSO membership holds a shared view on this matter. Of course, you are very welcome to share your own views, knowledge, and experience, including references to relevant presentations, discussions, surveys, and other materials throughout the process. If needed, we can assist you in soliciting perspectives from others. I also agree that it is important for the group to meet and review your respective roles and expectations. As Nick will not be attending the ICANN meeting in person (and I am unsure about Diego’s plans), it would be helpful to arrange a Zoom call before we begin traveling. If you agree, the Secretariat will reach out shortly to identify a suitable time for a call with the ccNSO leadership.
