Invitation to join the ICANN Meeting Strategy review

Dear Jodi As you may have heard the chair and vice-chairs of the SOs and ACs and ICANN recently discussed that ICANN should soon start a process to review the current meeting strategy <https://meetings.icann.org/en/future-meeting-strategy>, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of meetings. The current meeting strategy was agreed upon and adopted over 10 years ago. Since that time the environment in which these meetings are organized and held have changed significantly. To structure the review process ICANN will establish a small group of community members (one member per SO/AC + an alternate) and members of ICANN staff (see included notes from the latest SO/AC roundtable). After consulting Jordan and Biyi (in copy), my question for you: Would you be interested to be one of the two ccNSO appointees in this community group? The other appointee will be Molehe Wesi, from South Africa (.za). He has already accepted the invitation. Thank you for considering the question. Therefore, there was no need to meet with the NomCom to discuss it further, since it remained unchanged. The dissatisfaction with a past selection to the ccNSO Council happened a long time ago and it was addressed and solved years ago and the latest update of the job description addresses this. It was not clear to us that there was a need from the new cohort of the NomCom to have a conversation with the leadership of the ccNSO, regardless of the lack of changes to the job description.
