What motivated them to do so? What are their experiences? What is the impact? What message Bart: that is why Masha is presenting. Interesting to have their perspective. They have been successful. Build testimonials around it. Looking at a doc with the blockers thresholds. Abdalmomen: chain of info to obtain UA. Bart: question Anil: project on my village and my culture. Cultivation level, educational level, culture…. People over all globe connected with this approach. Every village a domain in local language. More than 600.000 domains. Gvt can influence the promotion of UA readiness applications in the future Bart: role of gvt. Not the only governance model. Private organisations as well as cctld managers. Their relations with gvt is different. Is the role of gvt as important, to drive UA readiness? Sabrina: CIRA is a private sector not for profit organisation. Strong relation with gvt, but distinct entity. Gvt interest in UA vis a vis CIRa. we communicate with the gvt about. The gvt interest in bilingualism. FR/ENG. Broader conversation about indigenous languages Abdalmomen: this is Multistakeholder work. Masha: There is also a task to influence software developers to implement UA Readiness in their products. Who can do it? A government can. The IT-giants can. A demand on a market can. Masha: gvt can influence in different ways. * To motivate gvt to influence * How can the gvt influence software developers Depends on the interest of the gvt. Bart: gvt role. Why not make that the core of the session in prague? How cctlds with different governance models experience the situation? In ipv6, the role of gvt was critical. Maybe also in UA or IDNs? Could be a blocker, if the gvt is not interested? Make it more interesting from a broader perspective? Abdalmomen: agree Bart: any other feedback? It always ends up on the technical blockers. Nabil: i am not sure about the IPv6 example Deployment IPv6 is different than UA Bart: different perspectives Nabil: agree Jaijit: availability of content is one of the barriers. Anil: experience in APTLD. Smaller ccTLDs are looking for hand-holding by someone with more experience. Abdalmomen: please join on Wednesday Bart: do you think this is a good topic for Prague? Group agrees. Let’s revisit at the next meeting 5. UA Day 2025 Update by Nabil Anil: workshop on EAI. how can a website be UA ready? 2 workshops. Abdalmomen: my suggestion.
