Dear UAC Members, I hope this message finds you well. ICANN has opened a new Public Comment<https://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/proceeding/draft-guidelines-for-adva...> proceeding that is closely aligned with the focus of our group. The ICANN Universal Acceptance (UA) Expert Working Group (EWG) has prepared draft guidelines<https://itp.cdn.icann.org/en/files/ua-ewg/guidelines-for-advancing-universal...> outlining strategic and practical approaches to encourage UA adoption across a wide range of stakeholders - including large technology companies, open-source communities, standards organizations, software developers, system administrators, the DNS industry, hosting and Internet service providers, public sector and intergovernmental bodies, as well as academia. The draft also proposes a framework to help measure efforts and outcomes in areas such as awareness, policy support, implementation, and capacity development related to UA adoption. The community is invited to review the report and share feedback, particularly on: * Any gaps in the proposed guidelines * Potential challenges in implementation * Suggestions on prioritization The deadline to submit comments via the Public Comment page is 13 April 2026 at 23:59. Given the importance of Universal Acceptance to our collective work, your perspectives and insights would be greatly appreciated. I warmly encourage you to review the draft and consider contributing input. Thank you in advance for your engagement. Kind regards, Thanks a lot.
