We received an email from our registrar NameCheap explaining the "deal" Verisign and ICANN have worked out to benefit themselves and subject business owners like myself to pay higher prices for our domains. We would like to be on record as being totally 100% against this type of deal and would like ICANN to revisit these decisions along with the top registrars like NameCheap to work out a Win-Win solution, allowing us all to maintain Trust within the IT industry. Hello ! Im writing this e-mail because of the amendment 3 which will affect the .COM domain prices leading to an increase for all users . As a simple person & a consumer of this service i strongly advise & totally appreciate if you guys would consider to not pass this new agreement as it will do a big harm to all peoples who are trying to figure out they’re a way how to integrate theyr businesses online or just have a simple blog to share ideas and open conversation. "Verisign will be allowed to increase the wholesale price to registrars for .COM domains every year for 8 out of the next 10 years" While I certainly understand the need to raise prices to meet business demand, there is a limit to what that demand commands. As a small business owner, I have to be conscious of every dollar spent. A website is a necessary business expense. The domain should not be a deal breaker. ICANN's decision to make this deal with Verisign was done without notification to the ICANN community. One of the most important rules of business is to know your customer. This decision not only appears that you do not know your customer's, you simply do not care about us. That is tragic. Please limit the price increases. Give small businesses a chance to succeed. This development is unfriendly but I strong advice that the authorities involved should encourage the use of .COM increasing the price will affect us more especially we small business owner

I am apposed to the announced deal with verisign allowing them to increase prices. It makes me want to support the replacement of icann with a new more accountable organization. Please change your direction so I can continue to support your mission
