I strenuously object to the new rules that would allow escalating fees for .com domain name registrations in the next decade. Hello, I have read of the intention to raise the prices of wholesale .com registrations. Please reconsider this as it would decision. It would be a strong detriment to my business and usage of personal websites. I would need to strongly consider whether my continued renewals would make financial sense. Thank you, -Todd Martindale

I do not support the amendment as written. I have a software engineer building web services for over a decade. I believe that raising prices on .com TLDs is necessary, but the amendment allows raising prices too quickly, and should provide better caps on pricing adjustments. Furthermore I do *not* support Verisign receiving any more power over .com domains, nor its ability to gain even more control prices for .com domains. To Whom It May Concern: As an owner of several .com domains, I am greatly upset by the proposed changes ICANN wants to make to the fee structure. If .com domain prices can grow by more than 70% over the next decade, I may not be able to afford to run my businesses and will need to let my current domain addresses expire, in favor of other options. This would ultimately result in less revenue for Verisign. I oppose this amendment and urge you to reconsider. This amendment will prohibit some business owners from having a web presence. If the .org public comment period was anything to measure by, the .com comments will be equally ineffective. Regardless, I am here to register my disagreement with the proposed .com price hikes. You slimy, shady, self-serving jerks.

Please don't increase .com prices. It doesn't make sense to do so when automation and greater efficient of security monitoring should be decreasing costs involved with operating DNS and registrar operations. Instead, it should be getting cheaper just like how computers, Internet access, etc. get cheaper and faster. Ben Baez
