ICANN, It imperative to the future of the internet that the sanctity of the .COM TLD remain. I ask that you please not raise the price or sell the rights to another organization, and that the TLD be managed in a fair manner that grants access (through a reasonable price ceiling) to both individuals who are just getting off the ground as well as corporations with sizeable budgets. Dear Team, We write to let you know our thoughts on the 'Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement'. We have been using Namecheap for acquiring our domains. We trust their opinion on these matters. We wanted to let you know we are not in support of the proposed amendment for the following reasons: - Increase in the wholesale price to registrars for .COM - No explanation why Verisign paid ICANN $20 million dollars, how ICANN will spend the money, or who will ensure that the funds are properly spent - Possibility of fewer registrars, thereby harming the competition, choice, and domain name services For a detailed explanation of the same, kindly refer this namecheap blog <https://www.namecheap.com/blog/icann-allows-com-price-increases-gets-more-m…>. Dear Sir/Madam, I am extremely concerned about this amendment to the Registry Agreement. Self employed people, charities and tiny sturtups. will find this a huge burden that could render the internet only accessible to medium and large corporations, therefore undemocratic. If this had been the way from the beginning of the internet, this would have been just the way it is, but, to start enforcing it today is not acceptable. Keep domains accessible to individuals and small businesses. Thank you

Hello. Please do not increase prices for .COM domains every year for 8 out of the next 10 years. Please ensure that .COM domains are accessible and cost effective as they have always been. I am a registrant of a .com domain name and against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. This is extremely hard on small business owners like myself. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Sent from my iPad

To Whom It Concerns, I’ve just become aware of ICANN’s close-door agreement to allow raises in the cost of .COM domain registration fees for 7 out of upcoming 10 years. I am opposed to this deal, as it violates the spirit of ICANN’s mission and purpose. In reading on the purpose and guidelines of ICANN I see this: ICANN's primary principles of operation have been described as helping preserve the operational stability of the Internet; to promote competition; to achieve broad representation of the global Internet community; and to develop policies appropriate to its mission >>>> through bottom-up, consensus-based processes <<<< https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICANN#cite_note-Memorandum_of_understanding_b… of which the above is cited from ICANN’s own website, here: 4. To whom it may concern, I am writing to express concerns about the proposed amendment 3. As a domain holder and internet user, I strongly believe that handing more control to Verisign (both through increasing prices, and allowing Verisign to act as a Registrar) threatens the integrity of the internet.
