My company has been in the online world since 2006 and has bought 100's of domains for ourselves and client since then. As we see it (and it's already happening) more local businesses will avoid having a website and will be happy with Facebook page. We, as an organisation are now buying localised domains and using sub domains to reduce the costs for ourselves and our clients. Peter Charalambos iMarkets-Group.com

The proposed price rises in amendment 3 are way above inflation rates and will adversely affect multiple domain name users like myself. Dear ICANN, I would like to comment on "Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement”. As a small business owner, I strongly disagree with the proposed amendment, and am quite frankly shocked and disgraced that ICANN’s behaviour over the past few years. It seems that corporate greed has taken hold over what was once a bastion of independent governance. Something so important such as .COM and .ORG should be treated impartially and with the greatest benefit to the public. The proposed amendment is not in the public interest and only benefits Verisign and the corruption which seems to be infesting ICANN currently. I implore you to not go ahead with the amendment and additionally carry our a full investigation into how such an agreement can be taken seriously when it’s definitely not in the public interest. I am strongly against price increase of .COM domains, because the current prices are fair enough for all sides. I don't want Verisign to mess around with .COM price increase, for it's just a side-helper organisation and not someone who should define TLD prices. Thank you. -- Uroš Dukanac

Hello, I am writing to oppose the proposed amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement. The increases in .com registration prices are not justified in this amendment and will only work to stifle innovation. Without any justification to show that infrastructure costs have increased for ICANN, this amendment can be seen as nothing else than a corrupt money grab. Please reverse this decision and return the price caps on .com domains to their original limits. Regards, Mark Monteiro

Hi, I saw the recent news regarding ICANN making changes in Verisign contract. *>Verisign will be allowed to increase the wholesale price to registrars for .COM domains every year for 8 out of the next 10 years, and the increases don’t stop there.* Quite shameful that you made such changes in secret and don't announce them.
