I oppose the proposed revision 3 of the .COM registry agreement. The increase in the price of a domain name is too difficult to accept. Besides Verisign, other registrars can also provide cheap services.

>From what I understand, the new .com price increase proposal allows tremendous freedom to change the cost of keeping a domain name, without providing details on why the increase is necessary, or how funds from it will be used. Under those conditions, I'm opposed to it by default. Please consider clearly outlining the circumstances for how prices will increase I the future, and providing details on why those increases are necessary. Thanks, Luke Wieting

Dear all, I speak on a personal capacity when I express that The proposed changes are utter nonsense and will do nothing but damage an already fragile ecosystem of domains. Prices can't just keep going up at rates that are irrational. So much has been spoken of inclusivity at large and the importance of bringing in the "next billion" users and it seems like we'll be receiving them with registration prices that will effectively create a new divide. I oppose completely to the Amendment and would ask for a more transparent, rational management of the domains. Thank you. To who is responsible for this We are really disappointed with the steps ICAAN are taking and disregard the voices of the people that are ultimately their customers. I feel it is unfair not to have a price cap i the domains. I pay a fee to you and I have not had any information in regards to your proposed plans. I feel I have been sold out for 20 million dollars!! I'm concerned about the impact this will have on the internet on a whole!! Lets hope some young entrepreneur comes up with something where we can change and have nothing to do with you!! A disgusted customer!!

Dear Madam, or Sir, As an individual and a startup founder, I am concerned about this amendment to the Registry Agreement, because it will affect, not just me, but any individual who would like their own domain name. I am quite certain that none of the corporations will object to the 28% cost increase every six years as they earn money off their domain name and paying almost any amount would be acceptable to them. However, there is a big amount of small businesses that would see this as a burden as well as individual users that have purchased their own domain name and are using it for personal use, not commercial use. Additionally, as an example, some of us have multiple domain names, for personal, commercial as well as charity. For each additional increase the amount that could go to charity would be cut out just to keep the domain which I don't see very helpful, especially in todays time where we should focus on helping the Planet instead. This is why, in the spirit of entrepreneurship and environment, please You to keep the annual fee very low or consider a more flexible charging system for the .COM top level domain that will keep it accessible to individuals and small businesses. I personally own several website, and have businesses with 10+. It sounds like ICANN needs some internal cutbacks and wage decreases, Merging of positions and other ways to cut their own cost.
