I believe the internet must serve the public. ICANN should serve public interests, not the interests of the few on top. I am against the price raise proposal unless it is proven absolutely necessary, because .COM domains make up such a large part of the internet, and it is small business owners without rich funding who will get hit the hardest. I am also against this unless there can be more transparency and clarity about where the funds are going, so we can ensure the money goes into necessary domain infrastructure and back to public benefit, rather than lining someone's pockets up top. ICANN, please listen to the public and to your own community, and involve us in this discussion. - C. Yang

Please do not increase the cost of domain names. This is already a silly yearly expense and should be something that is allowed to pay a lifetime amount. Price increases will only further serve to benefit the domain holders,and not the end consumers. I do not support this and will fight tooth and nail to stop this. Thank you, Chris, owner of over 15 domain names.

Hello, I am the owner of a small business that heavily depends on using URLS to direct traffic to various websites. I feel it's unfair for ICANN to randomly raise prices, despite massive support for price controls. And it's unfair to negotiate behind closed doors without consulting the ICANN community and ignore the majority opinion. As detailed on <https://www.namecheap.com/blog/ensuring-icann- keep-domain-prices-in-check/> Standing Up to ICANN to Keep Domain Prices in Check and <http://pricecaps.org/> pricecaps.org, over 3,500 comments were submitted in support of price controls for the .ORG, .INFO, and .BIZ TLDs. * Only six comments supported removing price controls. * ICANN discounted the comments that were in favor of maintaining price caps. * ICANN removed the price caps, primarily relying upon a biased preliminary analysis from 2009 by an economics professor that did not reference any data. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. To whoever it may concern, There are provisions in this proposal that lets Verisign hike the prices (of .com domains) for years to come and in addition to that the Domain registrars will add their margins which will increase the price significantly which is a very serious concern. To be fair, the *.com *domain prices are already at a high level and given that more than 1/3 of the active sites uses *.com *TLD's make it even more concerning. Personal bloggers like me who don't do any monetization will be severely affected. Please take necessary actions to make sure the prices are not increased. Charging more for .coms in exchange for more money seems reasonable to me, and I trust you to know what you're doing. Ignore the campaigns by various small providers, and keep on making the right decisions for the internet. Hello, I disagree with the change to wholesale pricing for .com domains and believe that it’s important to keep domain fees where they are at, or with a more reasonable increase, rather than the proposed increase. The price increase will mostly hurt individuals and those who have smaller budgets to work with for Internet expenses. This hurts accessibility for folks just getting started online.
