I have 8,000+ domains. I'm a WORKING PERSON building for my kids. Primary concern is growing evidence that ICANN no longer governs "in the public interest." Not listening in any but lip-service fashion, allowing Verisign to continue expanding greed. Hello,I do not agree with the proposed amendment.These changes are not necessary and will create a price surge in the registration fee of .com domains.No one except ICANN and Verisign will benefit from this amendment.Instead of making the internet more accessible for everyone you are trying to create more obstacles for the consumer.Where does this end? This amendment is exactly what a commercial organisation would do. Hello, I am concerned and very unhappy to find out that .COM prices will drastically increase for several years. This makes my doing business harder! I'm also very unhappy that this Verisign agreement has essentially been made without no public accountability. That's not right. People who are affected by these attempted unilateral changes should be part of this decision. I vote NO for this proposed amendment. Thank you, and please reconsider this decision. To whom it may concern, I am submitting these comments as an objection to the proposed changes concerning management of the .com top-level domain. The process by which the changes to the .COM Registry Agreement were debated and agreed to is opaque. I have no insight into the justification for the potentially onerous fee increases that Verisign will be permitted to make under the proposed agreement. In addition, there is a lack of clarity about the $20 million dollar payment to be made by Verisign to ICANN, how that money will be spent, and how to ensure accountability to the people affected by these changes. The proposed changes to the .COM Registry Agreement should not be adopted without significant additional public input. Sincerely, Roger Neate

Changes to the internet whether it be TLD, DNS, or protocols should never be done behind closed doors and without community oversight. All changes should be properly documented and with complete accountability. Without this the internet will degrade and eventually be destroyed as an open platform. Brian

I want to briefly write and say that I am vehemently opposed the the .com registration rate increases you are proposing. As a small business owner who registers domains on a regular basis this will have a very negative impact upon ongoing growth. It could even lead to the demise of many businesses. At the very least such increases will have to be passed on to my customers. I'm already operating on a thin margin and this could cripple even that. Please reconsider this draconian proposal.
