Hello, .com is a very popular domain and I am using it for more than 10 of my personal sites. The Price increase will hamper a lot of potential customers from low poverty countries such as India where I belong. .com is a great and most popular tld. A lot of new businesses wants to have the .com domain but this price increase will hamper them a lot. You are the people who has control over these things. You do a lot of good work. Please don't let this happen and tarnish your image. This is a disrespect to all the customers and proves that only money matters to corporations. Dear Sir/Ma`am, I believe that people like me who are trying to make their presence on the internet and trying to sharing our knowledge without putting a price on it will be very much affected by the new amendment. I believe this will affect a lot of individuals who are just trying to share their experience on the internet without any strings attached. I also believe that this is going to have an adverse effect on small businesses. My cousin owns a website and she sells baking recipes as ebooks on her website and she doesn't have enough earning as it is and this will increase the cost of her website. She uses the money earned from her website for daily use. I understand that big companies will not have any problems but small individuals like her are going to face big problems. best. vidhyanshu jain

Hello, The nature of technology is such that prices of domain names should decrease each year rather than increase. If you make a deal with Verisign, it should include yearly price reductions, and there should never be a price increase other than what might be needed to counter inflation. Thanks. James English

I am a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business). I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. Hi there, *.COM domains make up 40% of all registered domain names online* .COM wholesale domain prices can grow by more than 70% over and above current prices over the next decade. The contract also allows for other price increases, which could drive prices up further, ultimately making .COM domains less accessible and more expensive for everybody. Please don't do that. I have had quite a number of very small-scale, creative endeavor, solopreneurial domains for over 10 years each. I truly can’t afford the proposed price hikes on .com or any other domain registrations. Please don’t stifle my and others’ creative freedoms by any such greedy changes. Why would you take such harmful advantage of the hard-earned and often measly funds of low-income people? Please don’t increase the .com or any other consumer costs. Please care.
