------------------------------------------------------------------------ I am a web developer and owner of dozens of .COM domains. I oppose the proposed price increase that Amendment 3 would authorize. The global DNS registration system should be run for the benefit of the public, not private interests. ICANN is chartered to preserve the public interest, not to increase the profits of a private company that has a monopoly on the most valued domain extension. This proposed amendment will impact millions of small, independent businesses and developers. Please DO NOT adopt this proposed amendment. Consider the financial impact on the millions of small businesses that this price increase will hit the hardest.

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. It's really stupid activity, increasing such a huge price. Most businesses are in their startup mode for ffirst 4 years when they buy their first doma. You should decrease the price not increase it.

Hello, I have heard that a price increase is on its way for the .com domains. The reason behind the planned increase is not clear. Although such change will affect millions of users, we hear about it by chance. I believe domain owners deserve a better explanation.
