Hello ICANN As internet becomes a basic need with every passing day, making websites and the flow of information should be made more easier. It has come to our knowledge that you have done discussions on increasing the prices of .com domains. Can you please let us know what new service or improvement you will be providing? We are more than unhappy with the new potential increases for our domain. Some companies like mine are small, we do not profit from our website. It leads people to our sales, and let them know where they are and what we are selling..Such an increase would mean that we could mean loss of business for us, and not being able to keep a website. Hi, What is the reason of this price increase??? I find it quite ridiculous that a pice increase of this magnitude is even considered, surely there must be laws in place that protect your clients rights and prevent from outrageous price increases. I'm dismayed that this is even something being proposed. Maintaining domain name registrations is a service. I know it's not free to do, and I'm fine with paying for the service, but the cost should be reasonable for the value one gets and it's already more than it needs to be. Why would prices be going up? I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Unlike every other technology, you are proposing to increase prices for something that decreases in costs over time. This is not right, and rather than accept bribes from Verisign, you should be listening to the people that have built the Internet into what it is today.
