I do not agree at all with the proposed increase of the .com price. This is just about Verisign trying to get some easy money. The .com price is already too high but never is enough isn’t? It’s all about money, well, we will see how democratic ICANN is. To be honest I don’t expect absolutely nothing from ICANN, I think they will get some good money from this too. That’s why they are trying to do it. And who will read all this comments anyway? I don’t know, enjoy the robbery ICANN. Regards. Jose Fernandez

Please do not enact this amendment. I understand deals have traditionally been made in the privacy of company quarters, but operating websites are extremely expensive. While large corporations can absorb these costs, the price increases allowed for the 8 out 10 years for .COM registration will disproportionately affect the medium and start-up businesses in the web space. Medium and start-up businesses will then refer these charges into to their clients. Large corporations use large web adminstration companies. Medium and start-up sized corporations cannot afford those costs, and will not inherit the wholesale increase, but rather a surcharge upon that making website adminstration less feasible for businesses wishing to provide competition to the few large players in the field. Please reconsider the .COM TLD price increase. The other changes I take no issue with, but sincerely believe the price increases are improper and immature.

I am opposed to the proposed 7% annual price increases for .com domains. Within 10 years, .com domains could cost as much as 70% more than the current wholesale price of $7.85. I am opposed to allowing Verisign to operate as a domain name registrar. Allowing the company that controls almost 80% of registrar pricing for domain names to compete directly with all domain registrars will harm competition, choice, and domain name services. I submit that the agreement between ICANN and Verisign should be modified to significantly limit, or better yet put a moratorium on, price increases related to the .COM domain registry. This is nothing but a pure money grab on Verisign's behalf, signed off on by ICANN. There is no transparency into the need for any such increases in fees, and no accountability on how the money is spent or what benefit it will provide to the wider COM domain community. I respectfully ask that the agreement be thrown out until a much more transparent and restrictive price increase policy can be implemented. Sincerely, Todd Miller

I find the upcoming changes in the new deal between Verisign and ICANN is wrong. Important big decisions like this which will affect millions of internet users should not be down to only two companies to decide. The internet consumers, both users and the industry as a whole should be listened to in big important deals like this. In many countries there are competition rules that wouldn't allow near monopolies like this being created. Please listen and respect the rest of us users and keep important deals like this transparent and open for inputs from all users of the net. We are one world. Lets work together and. Lets not let greed rule. As a small business owner owning a .com domain, a price increase will severely restrict my ability to pay for the domain, and will surely result in millions of small businesses being unable to have a web presence. As for me, I know that I'll have to discontinue my domain if the prices increase. I am firmly against this deal between ICANN and Verisign. Regards, Adarsha Joisa
