I urge you to provide full transparency and ensure that the concerns of all affected parties are addressed. To Whom It May Concern, I am a registrant of a .com domain name (several, actually). I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The current rate is already far more than justified. Many individuals, like myself, maintain multiple .com domain names if for no other reason than to protect our own names from being used to run a website not affiliated with us. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest; please do so. Please keep the annual fee low, or consider a more flexible charging system for the .COM TLD that will keep it accessible to individuals and small businesses. David Bastian Orem, Utah USA

Good morning how are you, Recently I have heard of the plans to increase pricing for .com domains by 7% I strongly believe a decision like this should be consulted with by the internet community at large as this will place increased challenges for small businesses which often really on .com domains for their online presence. Changes like this could price out many which would limit the opportunities on the internet that we know and love. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. Arlington, Virginia United States

Hi there, I would like to say that a .COM price increase is a terrible idea and will hurt so many entrepreneurs and aspiring small business leaders in the long run, possibly having a negative effect on our economy. When I was 14, I aspired to start several business, and had it not been for the affordability of .COM domains, I wouldn’t have had the luxury of taking the first step of pursing what might possibly be a dream job. Please consider not raising .COM prices and keeping them the same. Best, Josh Jackson
