I think we need to relieve ICANN from managing domain name ecosystem, it is a dinosaur organization tending to corrupted deals. We can do it without ICANN these days. Domain names belong to the international community, they should not be managed by a corrupted US organization.

Do not raise prices. Domain names are already priced high and this revenue is by default annually rendering basically “easy” revenue for ICANN. The organization can function at low costs and continue to receive billions in revenue and growing. — Hector. 818.660.5610

Without further restrictions on price increases for .COM domains in the next 10 years wholesale domain prices could grow by more than 70% over and above current prices, putting undue pressure on small businesses and start-ups! Hello - I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely the manager of the .COM Registry – they have absolutely no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest - so do it! An increase in .com prices would detrimentally hurt my business. Justin Arnold Small Business Owner, Chicago, IL

As a user of Internet services for the last 20 years, the point that one single enterprise can control the price of domain .com could lead the Internet in a monopoly, and people need the ability to be free and choose the more affordable cost to register a domain. We don't need that one single unit control the domain registration.
