I vividly stand against the increase, I don’t support the increase. This increase will discourage people from having a .com site which is the most used website. Rather the price should be reduced more in other to increase use of the internet. The new increase will be such a huge financial burden on me, I will not be able to afford it and I believe many people too will not be able to afford it. Thanks for the understanding

Please do not pass Amendment 3. Increasing .com registration prices will burden non-profit organizations like the one I work for. I personally own a .com, and this would hurt me as well. To whom it may concern: I always disagree with deals made in secret and behind closed doors, but this is one that affects me personally. The new deal with Verisign can affect small businesses and working people more than anyone. Purchasing .com domain names is currently affordable for people and helps so much for having a space online to advertise, but increasing that cost could mean that many people never even bother with an online space or have it bought out from under them by someone with more money. Please consider how this affects the smaller entrepreneurs and creators.

I am a registrant of many .com domain name over the last 20 years, all for personal use. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than VeriSign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. VeriSign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.

I think it is unethical for two companies to have such a monopolist say on a global entity such as the internet. If anything .com should be a not for profit entity not dictated by only two companies.
