To whom it may concern: I do not agree with the backdoor .COM price increases agreed on by ICANN and Verisign. It is not right that only ICANN and Verisign have come to an agreement regarding these price increases without consulting or incorporating feedback from the ICANN community or internet users. This will ultimately make the internet less accessible and more expensive for everyone involved. Please reverse this decision and take into consideration what the community has to say about this. I think it is ridiculous that prices will go up significantly for domain names. As a consultant working with small businesses, I know how important it is that every dollar spent be used wisely. One of the biggest reasons small businesses fail is that they are undercapitalized. And while the price of a domain name may seem like a small thing, it is not. Every dollar counts and it is not like spending on a web site is discretionary, it is a necessity. I am asking that you rethink your proposal to raise domain name prices. As stated in the subject, We are a small company trying to work in a global international space. Due to the domain sqottering we have to acuire and maintain about dozen or so domains in different name spaces and about quoter of them are in .COM zone. The increase in paymets for expiring domine names will place a segnificant burden on us. We as a business think that making closed under the curtain agreements that harms almost all players on the market is a bad habit close to mismanagement. We strongly disagree with such deals and are asking ICANN to revise it's decision regarding the deal(agreement) with Verisign and proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM registry Agreement. What should be done is a set of measures to free up sqoterred domain names that will bring them back to the market and generate significant new revenue to all paries such as registrators, ICANN and all businesses around the globe. As a purchaser of domain names, I am writing to encourage you *not* to increase domain name fees. From my understanding, there has been no public justification for these increases. To whom it may concern, I am really upset about ICANN's closed door arrangement with Verisign to authorize Verisign to increase .com prices at their discretion. ICANN is doing the internet a disservice by entering this agreement with Verisign to increase .com registration fees and I urge ICANN to reverse course on this decision. Hi, My name is Damola, I am an all round technology enthusiasts that live in Nigeria, a developing country. Our country, our youth are waking up to the potentials of the internet and how we can use it to develop our society and contribute the world at large while earning a living for ourselves. At present, our currencies do not measure up to the $, and most of us have have to scrape just to keep pay domain among other fees... I fear that if you proceed to increase this fee, a lot of us would be forced to go out of business. Life is not rosy in this parts. You probably buy a cup of coffee for around $8, the same amount it cost me to buy a domain, but $8 is not so cheap here. Here $8 is 2,920 naira, the same amount some families havetosurvive on for weeks. I appreciate your efforts at keeping this space safe and well managed, however I implore you to reconsider and perhaps explore other options. Help us to keep our hopes alive.

Hello, Please ensure that increase of the fees on the .com domains will not be raised. It will not be good for a lot of business and will decrease globale accessibility towards .com domains. This will decrease the .com business and lower the interest towards this type of domains. For me personally I have about 80-100 .com domains at NameCheap, so please think about this.
