Hi ICANN, I happened to see the proposed amendment. My humble opinion is, the prices must not go increased. Because, the Internet has now become like Air and Water, without which it is difficult for literate humans to survive. I agree that there might be infrastructure maintenance cost. But, is this increase the only avenue through which to fund it? Infact, the sanity of the world is kept in equanimity by only those that are literate and willing to voice against unethical practices of greedy politicians, businessmen and mafia groups. Please ask ICANN to use its imagination to create other means to fund their costs. Spare us (honest and well-meaning humans) from going exploited. Yours Ram Bala

As a small business owner, it’s important for me to make every dollar count. Yearly price increases for owning my domain would be brutal. As software subscription services have increased, I haven’t had to worry about my domain price increasing. I would like to continue NOT worrying. The internet needs to remain accessible to all! It has come to my notice that the price cap for the domain .COM is about to rise by 70% over the next 8 years, a cost which, for a small business like mine, has irreparable damages and I will not be able to maintain my webpage. Big business may be able to sustain thee increases, however for a one-man business it will become impossible and I will need to close down my page. This appears to be purely a money grabbing move. Please keep the cap on the .com domain. I use the Internet but I am not a .com registrant. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. I am reviewing the ownership cost of a domain for my fledgling business. This cost amount may appear small by itself. When added to other fees the cost of starting a business becomes significant. Give individuals and small businesses the chance to grow. Assist small businesses by keeping the cost at current levels. Hello Icann, Hope this email finds you well. This incremental fee doesn't make any sense and doesn't do any good to the internet community. We all agree .COM domains should come with a price but this doesn't mean we should exploit our users. I am very sure most users of the internet would support this action of yours. I just like other users do not support this action. Kindly review and reverse it. I hope this helps.
