Dear ICANN Board: I was stunned to hear about proposed price increases for .com domains that you have negotiated with verizon. A price increase of unknown magnitude every year will be devastating for small startups with tight budgets. Please reconsider and cancel this contract with unknown and unilateral terms. Thanks.

Hello, My name is Luke and I am an actor based in Los Angeles, CA. I bought my domain name to ensure that I could use my name for the rest of my life, as I don’t want someone else with my name entering the business first. I am very content with the amount that I am paying for my domain name, but as a struggling actor in LA, I am not certain I would be able to afford my rates going up. Please think about me, along with all of the other struggling actors and small businesses who buy a domain name as their first sign of clout and independence. Thank you for your time. Luke

Do you think this increase would help avoid those trolls buying every single domain in existence or no? There should be a petition that says you cannot buy 1,000 domains that just sit there for resale for insane prices. Use it or lose it. or It should be like real estate where each website has an appraised value and not whatever they come up with. If it's worth $12 on Godaddy then that's what it's worth, you shouldn't be allowed to buy it for $12 and resell it for $50,000. Those criminal trolls! -- -Deja Osbourne

There are too many undefined fees, timelines and oversight issues the way these amendments are written. As someone who owns several .com domains, I cannot afford to have the prices going up with out limits and oversight. Business is already costly enough, these amendments could potentially make owning a .com domain even more expensive. This will inhibit businesses on the internet, not help it. Please do not proceed with these amendments as written. Why does one nation and one company have full control over prices for something as universal/global as .com domains? This will stifle competition and hurt small businesses across the world.
