I oppose ICANN decision and changes to the contract it has with Verisign, Inc. ICANN should have incorporated feedback from the community (Internet users). Why did Verisign agreed to pay ICANN an additional $20 million dollars over five years to support ICANN's domain name system initiatives? What Initiatives? How is ICANN going to spend the 20 million dollars? Who will ensure that the funds are properly spent on domain infrastructure? How much is going into the pockets of the board and top management? To whom it may concern, The announced price increase will directly affect my business. I am a small business owner who operates a few dozens websites. During initial projects onboarding, it is common to purchase the domain before the contract is signed or the first payment goes through. This ensures availability but also let's us setup email for our future clients. A price increase means jeopardizing these procedures. It can happen that a project never come to light, thus making any preemptive purchases even more risky. It is directly affecting my bottomline. Hello, As the owner of a .com domain I am concerned by the proposed amendments. By allowing wholesale price registrars to increase the price for 8 out of the 10 next years you make the internet less accessible. The internet is meant to be an open place to everyone. Hello, I am a teenage individual that owns a .com domain and I beg you to not raise the price of .com domains. For small businesses and individual pages the .com domain is very important for all professional endeavors. Raising the price of these will be very detrimental to our World Wide Web and the small pages will not be able to own domain which will ultimately cause catastrophic damage to our economy forcing the lower class’s livelihood to be diminished.

As a holder of a .com domain name, I oppose the proposed price increase. If Verisign does not feel the current fee structure generates sufficient profit, it would not be difficult to find another manager that would be happy to make this money. Zach Wasserman

I think you need to re-evaluate whether the changes you propose using verisign are for the good of the Internet versus the good of ICANN. All I see is a downside of .com prices increasing over time.

Please. Do not increase domain name annual prices. Our sharing on the inter-webs does not always create revenue for *we the humans*, however, open communications at this time are fairly vital for us to create a new reality for how to sanely exist/create on this planet. Since I'm certain *you* are still human yourself and not merely a corporate hive minded delegate, you can feel why a rate increase wouldn't be for the highest good of all and elect to oppose an increase in annual domain name prices. I am a registrant of multiple .com domain names. And I am vehemently against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. Nobody other than Verisign wants an increase in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already more than justified. Increasing it will only benefit Verisign and harm everyone else. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it should have no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.
