Many individuals and sole proprietor businesses maintain websites using .COM. The changes to the .COM agreement could result in .COM domains costing approximately 70% more than the current wholesale price of $7.85. The price increase impact for individuals is ridiculous and would likely cause some to drop their .COM, leaving the internet to big businesses. I urge ICANN to consider the future of the internet and keep it accessible.
