Sirs / Ma'ams, I write in opposition to the proposed increases in pricing for .com domains, for the following reasons: I don't particularly like the idea of paying $1 per month for my website to a multi-billion dollar company so they can make their wealthy investors a little richer. Verisign, Inc. is a commercial for profit publicly traded company, whose motives are driven by a desire to increase profits for investors, not to serve the public interest. Verisign had a gross profit of over 1,000 million dollars (1 billion) in 2019. Considering there are about 200,000,000 active websites of all kinds world wide, and only a small portion of them are profit making dot com websites. Verisign already makes a massive amount of profit from their relationships with governments and organizations like ICANN. If ICANN needs more money to operate you all can get it from Verisign, they can probably spare a few million from what I understand. In disgust, Lewis Beeler +1-910-260-8350
