Hello This is regarding the subject proposal of agreement with Verisign. The $7.85 price freeze established in Amendment 32 of the Cooperative Agreement is fully justified, given the considerable cost reduction witnessed in all spheres of Information Technology. ICANN has earned people's trust over the years in safeguarding public interest. However, now with the questionable stance in the subject amendment, its goodwill is at stake. With the exponential growth in the number of .com domains, there should not be any dearth of funds necessary for day-to-day operation and to implement necessary security updates, and there is no need to authorize Verisign to increase the price. We still have trust on the good intention of ICANN and hope this ill-thought-out amendment will be scrapped immediately. Regards Partha Chakrabarty Brampton, ON, Canada
