I have registered several .com domain names. I oppose the proposed price increase for .COM domains as being unjustified, monopolistic extortion. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. The Internet registries should not be managed as cash cows for exploitation. ICANN should negotiate in public. If Verisign wants to increase prices dramatically, ICANN should find alternative registrars, or authorize more than one .com registrar. Michael Price Santa Clara, California United States
